WHITE TEXAS SHEET CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING

HOW TO MAKE WHITE TEXAS SHEET CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING?

One of my most famous recipes is this White Texas Sheet Cake on my blog. If I had to say why, it’s because this cake is easy, moist, and the pictures make you instantly want to try this cake recipe.

How many times I’ve made this cake, I can’t tell you. My estimate is almost like 10, and for me, that’s a lot.

TO MAKE THE CAKE:

  • 2 entire eggs, beaten.
  • 2 cups of white sugar.
  • 2 cups of white flour.
  • 1 cup of water.
  • 1 cup of butter cubes.
  • 1⁄2 Cup of Sour Cream.
  • 1 tsp of sea salt.
  • 1 tsp of Powder for Baking.
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract.
  • 1⁄4 tsp of Baking Soda.

THIS IS WHAT I USED TO MAKE THE FROSTING:

  • 4 cups of Sifted Sugar Powder.
  • 1 cup of sugar.
  • 1⁄2 cups of Sifted Cocoa, Unsweetened.
  • 1⁄2 Cups of Almond Milk.
  • 4 spoonfuls of softened butter.
  • 2 tsp of corn syrup.
  • 2 tsp of pure Vanilla Extract.

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1:

I preheated the oven to 375 degrees F. And I greased a large baking pan.

STEP 2:

I brought the butter and water to a boil in a large saucepan. And I removed from the heat once the butter has melted.

STEP 3:

After that, I added in the white cake flour, sour cream, white sugar, salt, baking powder, and eggs and I blended well, until smooth.

STEP 4:

I poured it into the prepared pan and baked it for 25 to 30 minutes, when it’s has a golden brown color and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean, it’s the right time to remove it from the oven.

STEP 5:

I put the pan on the wire rack to allow the cake to cool completely for around 20 minutes.

THE FROSTING:

STEP 6:

I whisked the sugar and the cocoa together in a big saucepan.

STEP 7:

I added the milk to it. Then I stir in the corn syrup and butter.

STEP 8:

I placed the pan over medium-high heat and brought it to a boil, continually whisking.

STEP 9:

When the butter has melted and the sauce is slightly smooth, I removed the pan from the heat and applied the sugar and vanilla from the confectioners.

STEP 10:

I let the cake cool totally, then On top of the slightly cooled cake, I poured the frosting on.
