Ingredients in bread dough:

  • 1 teaspoon dried active yeast
  • two huge eggs
  • 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
  • 5 tablespoons cubed unsalted butter
  • 14 cup of water
  • 3/4 cup of whole milk
  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour

Apple Filling Substances:

  • 1/3 cup sugar, granulated
  • Cinnamon, 5 teaspoons
  • Apples, 4 cups, grated and peeled
  • Vanilla essence, about half a teaspoon
  • 1/2 cup, 8 tablespoons unsalted butter

Glaze components:

  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • two heavy whipping cream teaspoons
  • Vanilla essence, about half a teaspoon
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cubed unsalted butter

Creating apple bread:

  • Two baking trays should be covered with parchment paper, with butter on the sides, or with baking spray. In step 6, preheat the oven to 350°F. Add butter, milk, water, and sugar to a small pot. Till the milk is heated and the butter has melted, stir regularly. (If the milk gets too warm, let it cool until it is touchable warm.)
  • Over the heated milk, sprinkle the yeast, and stir. Give the yeast five minutes to activate and bubble before covering the bowl. Add 2 beaten eggs and stir.
  • Making a hole in the center of the big mixing bowl, add the flour and heated milk mixture. Fold the dough until it is smooth and soft, and neither your hands nor the bowl will adhere to it. (Tip: To prevent the dough from sticking to the bowl, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time as needed.) The dough should be wrapped in plastic and let to rise at room temperature for an hour.
  • Transfer the dough to a work surface that has been heavily dusted with flour. Roll the surface into an 18" x 20" rectangle after lightly dusting the area with flour.
  • Use a fork to stir the butter and vanilla together in a small bowl. Over the rolled dough, evenly distribute the butter. On the face, distribute the apple slices or shredded apple evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the dough in a uniform layer.
  • the dough into five even, lengthy strips. Make squares out of the strips. Divide the dough between the two pans, stacking the squares loosely on their sides before transferring to baking trays. Lift pans after 30 minutes, covering them with a cloth or plastic wrap. Bread should be golden brown after 25 to 30 minutes of baking at 350°F with the lid off. Before glazing the bread, let it cool fully.

Making a sweet glaze for baking:

  • Butter, sugar, and vanilla should be combined in a skillet over medium/high heat. It should just begin to boil. Stirring after adding heavy whipping cream, remove from heat. Set alone for cooling.
  • Add the powdered sugar when the glaze has cooled. The glaze is poured or brushed over cooled apple bread after being left aside to thicken.

Two loaves of apple bread are produced by this recipe.

This was so good.. I thin sliced my apples and coated them with a little lemon and white sugar.. also used brown sugar, chopped walnuts with a pinch of salt on the bread.. I put the whole recipe in a deep lasagna pan. Used vanilla bean in the the glaze. Turned out really well.. almost like apple turnovers. Would have posted a pic but not much left lol 😂

I made this as written and it is seriously missing salt. Has potential but the lack so salt makes it very bland. May try again with the 1/2 tsp people recommend in the comments. Wish I had read those first….and probably also more cinnamon and sugar.
