Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls
This is the Egg Rolls with Canadian Mozzarella Cheese and Herbs recipe.
- 1 C. (15 ml) butter
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 red pepper, julienned
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large eggs
- 1/3 cup + 1 tsp. (90 mL) 35% cream
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) grated Canadian Mozzarella cheese
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 2 basil leaves, chop
- A few fresh tarragon leaves, chopped
In an oven-safe non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onion and red pepper, 5 min.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the cream. Salt and pepper. Add the egg mixture to the pan over medium heat and stir the mixture using a spatula to cook the underside of the omelet. Stop stirring the mixture when it begins to clot. Cook for three minutes.
Sprinkle omelet with Canadian Mozzarella cheese, green onion, tarragon, and basil.
Broil for no longer than two minutes or until the rim of the omelet begins to pull away from the pan. To serve, roll the omelet on itself to obtain a roll; cut in half.
