- 1/2 cup butter 1 stick
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups instant oats
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
In a medium saucepan, add butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa. Put it on medium heat.
While you wait for the mixture to boil, measure out the peanut butter and oats and have a jar of vanilla on hand. (Once you start this process – you have to work fast.
Next, bring the mixture to a simmer in a saucepan – once it is completely simmering – boil for 1 minute 15 seconds.
After that, remove it from the heat immediately.
Add peanut butter while stirring. Add oats – stir. Add the vanilla, stirring. Putting on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Let it cool for about 30 minutes or to the firm.
